Remedies To The Top 10 Excuses For Not Working Out: By Jesse JonesAs I ponder on the next excuse people tend to use for not working out... 5. I'm Too Tired To
Workout, I find myself staring down the barrel of another very dangerous and loaded question. Ready?
Well here it is... What came first, the chicken or the egg? It's a classic case of cause and effect. Now
since we're talking about being too tired to workout, allow me to ask you this instead... What came first, inactivity or fatigue?
Granted, in todays society we have a million and two reasons as to why we can be tired on a regular basis, but aside
from the obvious and excusable I'm going to launch my attack at the actual and illogical. Now brace yourself and find
the positives, because I'm not looking to make any friends by opposing this one, let alone any of the other excuses routinely
given. Leading the way today is three questions I want you to answer honestly followed by the
above mentioned question of today. 1. When was the last time you went out to a club and/or partied the same day after
not working out, and didn't bother to workout the next day either? Now you tell me what came first, inactivity or fatigue?
2. How many sporting events, concerts, and/or any other form of entertainment have you treated yourself to without having
exercised in the days leading up to or following those events? Now once again what came first, inactivity or fatigue?
3. What was the benefit in bypassing that well needed (or overdue) workout in exchange for a day out shopping, watching
television, or an afternoon of fun in the sun involving food and drinks? Then ask yourself one more time what came first,
inactivity or fatigue? OHH BOY I've done it now! I can hear so many of you saying, "But yeah Jess those things
you listed are the fun things in life" and I say "You're right" but If you are guilty of any 1 or all
3 of these chronic habits with any sense of regularity, then allow me to say "Shame on You" because these very things
you could still do alongside a life of regular exercise. So guess what? SORRY EXCUSE DENIED!!!
Now that we've gotten those out of the way, let's move into the remedies to this prevalent epidemic. There are so many
ways to fight fatigue and I will give you a few of the most important on my personal list. We all need to be aware of
our hydration levels at all time, so therefore we must drink more water as water is the most forgotten nutrient and the essence
of all living things and beings. Although hard to do for alot of us but is a must, we must do a better job of eating
breakfast as it is the way we start our day and sets the tone for a healthy metabolism, digestion, and proper biological balance.
With the mention of breakfast we must eat foods from each food group as well as foods rich in fiber for a stronger
sense of energy production and waste movement. Lastly, concerning food we must eat smaller regular meals throughout
the day to help stay well nourished, fuel the body, and fight off sluggishness. Try to avoid anything with caffiene
in the late afternoon, otherwise it will be difficult to achieve a quality sleep throughout the night. By all means
avoid heavy meals before bed time as this is a formula for disaster, causing a lack of sleep, slow metabolism, and indigestion
which also negatively affects sleep. Of course regular exercise is an obvious factor, but stretching needs to be on
the to do list as it relieves the body of tens of thousands of toxins that tend to have a negative affect on our overall health
and sense of well-being. Lastly, we all need to sleep more to be productive in being able to perform all of the above
mentioned tasks. In a nutshell it all boils down to closely managing Food Intake- Timing- Nutrition- Exercise-
Stretch- Sleep for a better quality of of life throughout each day, and if you didn't notice that spells FITNESS.
Remember, tomorrow is coming no matter what so what will you do with today? Until next time... Thanks for reading!
